Finishing Touches

We are working like mad men trying to beat out the tiny elves in the North Pole to get our new website working for this holiday season. We hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful time of the year and our wish for all is that 2011 is a year we all fly just a little bit more! Get current, grab a new rating, shoot a few approaches and enjoy the opportunity to do something others just dream about! If you have someone who is just curious about flying, bring them in and hanger fly for a while. That just might push them over the edge and into the air.

Website update

The new web site is getting closer! We are working on new features that will make shopping much easier. Features will include when available: coupons, gift certificates and discounts which we will be able to offer in our newsletters and print advertising.

We are also considering a trade in program for headsets and would like your feed back if you are interested in a program like this. In addition we are thinking about starting  a rental program run out of our retail store at John Wayne Airport, which will carry a  sample of our top selling headsets for you to try before you you purchase. One days rental will be applied towards the purchase price if you decide to buy.

New Website

Welcome to Windsock Pilot Supplies Blog

This is the space we will use in order to share information to customers, from customers and between customers. Without you and your input we would have a hard time keeping the store updated with the quality products you desire. Times are changing fast in aviation. The speed of information between subscription magazines, on-line magazines, newsletters and real time alerts make it quite a challenge to stay on top of the new stuff that all of us would like to have. Getting feedback from all of you is what really makes the difference in having a store you would like to call home. More than once I have reminded myself and the crew that it’s not what we want to see or stock, it’s what the customers wants. Anything less is just dead inventory.

So here is the space we can use to pass ideas back and forth. Be respectful, insightful, creative and honest. I feel that the Windsock has some of the classiest customers around and I look forward to hearing from all who are willing to participate.
